Hello I was just thinking what would be a good outdoor strain that has big yields and great tasting buds ?
I Would prefer an Automatic Strain and I was thinking about Big Bang Automatic by the green house seed company has anybody had exp with this strain?
    Thank you

I wasn't too impressed with them tbh. A lot of variation in phenotypes and some don't seem to autoflower properly, and a lot of them are kind of scraggly. Try MI5 or Russian Rocket Fuel.

You said yields were important, then said u wanted to grow autos. Impressive yields and autos are mutually exclusive. Growing autos outdoors seems like a waste of time, imo as youd have to grow 40 of the little fuckers to get a decent crop. Grow a fast finishing photoperiod strain(heavy on the indica for fastest finish)if you want any kind of decent yield...not sure how early/often youll get rain/cold so get something with good mold resistance. Thank you for your comments,
It rains often in North West Ireland
I would have guessed that an automatic plant would have been alright to be done before the ''horrible'' weather sets in.
Would I be better off to get an feminized automatic strain or feminized strain?
+ when i mean yield I don't mean 1lb+ just like 2oz per plant in the short time left would i be better with an outdoor fem auto or outdoor fem?
Thank you for your time :)

an auto is all you can grow right now imo
next year, you can try fitting a femmed non auto. Good luck

Don't bother with big bang auto. With the rain you get, you will loose the lot to mold. I've lost alot of bud this year and I'm in the hottest dryest part of the uk!
Go for a mold resistant fast flowering photoperiod plant for next year. For example, Swiss cheese, purple power, purple maroc. All do well (from experience)
Others swear by early girl, early misty, Frisian dew etc...
    Peace out

Never tried them my man, so dunno. Just Coz the site is uk based doesn't mean all the strains are good for outdoor uk.
The ones I've listed are tried tested and work well.
You can get most of them from attitude seeds (Google search them)
Plant mid April to late may indoors on a window sill or heated greenhouse if you have one you have a few months to research and that would be a good idea as a noob better to know what your getting into rather than rushing into it and loosing your hard earned cash!
Remember most of the people growing on here are in different climates to us and so there rules often don't apply, (although the basics are the same)
There are plently of hints and tips to be learned in the beginners section on this forum or a Google search will help alot.
click the link in my signature to watch mine and other uk growers progress. I have pics from seed to established plants!
    Peace
  10. Dude, you really seem to be jumping in without knowing much. I suggest you try some autos this year in store bought soil, just so you can get a harvest.
In the meantime, read the outdoor stickys and the thread "what's your soil recipe?".
It's all about researching and more researching.

Everything is on the site for ya just have a good look. Are you planning on planting them in some random field or in a green house or something. I never tried growing here but you can see online it can be done. To be honest growing outside here if you were lucky enough for them to survive up until flower the rain will prob just rot your Shit right up

Use grass food for the veg stage (wait 1 month before giving anything at all) and tomato plant food during flowering. But yeah read the stickys on this page they should tell you most of what you need to know.

tbh man i'd go with purple maroc, early skunk, or hollands hope. I myself just ordered some purple maroc form attitude seeds, gonna be arriving this week sometime. A good strain for ireland given our short growing season, the ammount of rain and lack of good sunshine. it's been said this strain can grow in the frikin shade! mould resisitant so the amount of rain we get shouldnt be a problem, and it finishes early so itll be harvested before the weather turns cold around the end of september.

i'd only grow the auto if i was growing a normal photoperiod plant with it, the autos dont yield much. good idea though if you want a couple of free fifty bags and only want to wait 2 months for it :)

by the sounds of it you're up near mayo? i wish you the best of luck my friend :)

If you are near Dublin you would have no trouble at all getting nutes for weed I think tesco do miracle grow nutes they will do the job Is this your first grow? the seedlings will be ok for around 2 to 3 weeks without nutes then you need to start giving nutes every 2nd watering when you start using nutes your first watering use half the recommended dose then work your way up to full dose I really recommend getting nutes that are for weed you will be much happier with your girls progress there are some grow shops who will deliver in Ireland I take it you are not in Dublin If there is any thing I can help you with let me know
